Armature Question

Hey everyone! I want to start animating, and I need to know what kind of wire I need to make some armatures. I heard that armature wire is good, but there's better alternatives. I saw online that nice armatures cost an exorbinant amount of money, which I don't have. Can someone point me in the right direction here? Any help would be greatly appreciated. See More
