"Correct. Geared NEMA 17 motors are needed, and the best ones are the high precision motors which have much less backlash in the gearboxes.
NEMA 24 motors without gearboxes would be powerful enough, but they are bigger and heavier."

"I think I like this one the best of all, as you can see in the picture that it is possible to adjust the bearings so they are tight against the rails. Carbon fibre is good, but stainless steel is also fine for the rails. Also seems very good…"
