Hey Stopmo People!
This year I was given total creative freedom to shoot a corporate video that was intended to send a 'Thank You' message to their various departments. I was very surprised when they were totally receptive to almost all of my suggestions about what should be in the video.
This was a project I got involved with via John Lemmon Studio who hired me specifically to both conceptualize it and animate it. There were some (of course) executive 'tweaks' to my ideas but for the most part, they liked everything I came up with and created.
Hardly a debut, you produced/wrote/designed/animated that revolutionary Fall of Gravity film! But maybe first time as director for outside client? Nicely put together!
Ha! Funny I didn't think of that... this was this was the first time I got PAID to do it. :P
One change the client made was made after it was already shot. Two of the balloons had different messages written on them which they had already approved before it was shot. So I had to replace them frame by frame in Photoshop.
This is what I originally painted on them...
The chrome balloon was sprayed with the 'ink' from a Molotow Chrome marker. That stuff is incredible! But it's not very durable and scuffs pretty easily. Most clear coatings will destroy the finish but after doing some research, I found ONE clear coat that works perfectly on it... Alclad II Lacquer Gloss Klear Kote. (yes, I spelled that correctly)
