Good day to you! I've been a stop motion enthusiast since I was a kid. It was kind of my hobby and never had a chance to take a step forward and try to attend a film school. Anyway around in the middle of last year a local musician, who happens to be a friend of mine asked me if I can do a stop motion animation for one of his songs, after seeing one of the sloppy animations that I've posted on instagram back then. I remember telling him straight away, that neither me nor my leisure time short clips are upto such standard. As a matter of fact. I knew that I was nowhere closer to make something like that. But he kept insisting and asked how much would I charge. I think at that point I decided to take the project and I told him I’ll do it for my passion, not for money. I think whenever someone tries to bring money closer to a passion, it really pisses me off. Since I’m a strong believer that money is silently destroying our world, by wiping out humanity.
Anyway that’s how I got this project and it made me go through a lot of reading, practicing and experiments since then. Best thing that happened along that journey was I could awaken this hidden storyteller in me. And for the first time in life I felt like keep progressing down this path and live inside this passion for the rest of my life. And I’m glad I could move to the production stage this fast.
I had written a couple of storylines for this in the beginning. But with the limited resources I have and this knowledge of a beginner I picked the simplest plot. And managed to polish that story up a bit. Lined/Synced it up with the song timings. And got a rough storyboard done after struggling for weeks!
Aaand started shooting the first scene this evening and thought of making this post here while having a short break. During my breaks I will keep updating the progress here, with a tiny hope that I will get any kind of advice over a countless number of flaws this film is going to have. Pointing out my mistakes will become massively helpful and I will receive enough room for improvement, from a community full of people I consider as my idols.
much love and respect!
Coming in my next break!
