Old-timey backyard bow and arrow fun. Shot way back in 2010 and re-mastered for the new 2014 audience.

It has some storytelling shots, (I especially liked the one where's he's gulping down whiskey) but it looks more like an entertaining slide show than stop motion. If you have the original video footage, would it be possible to edit down each increment of movement (not each shot, but each movement) to a single frame? That would give it more of a Norman MacLaren's "Neighbors" look. The way it is now it works as an animatic, but there's just not enough movement to qualify it as animation. On the other hand, you are really good at conveying story in still images, which is not something all animators can do. That alone makes it worth a viewing.

Is there a way to give the appearance of volumetric haze in a stopmo scene?  The straightforward way seems doomed to failure in a stopmo environment (unless there's some magical haze product out there that maintains a perfectly consistent density…Continue

I've got a camera that doesn't allow any kind of remote shutter release, mechanical or electronic, and I'd like to rig one up for it. My idea is to use some kind of linear actuator Mythbusters style. I've seen them use these things to push all kinds…Continue

Woo Hoo!  I just put in my order for Vol 2 of Jim Danforth's autobiography, published by Archive Editions.  It is published on a CD rather than as a printed book, which I would have preferred, but it does manage to fit a huge amount of material in…Continue
