First shot using the motion control rig for 'The Legend of Jan Tregeagle'.
Butterfly and flies added in post to give some movement within the shot. Hot glue 'strings' created spiders's webs across the neglected grave...
Good job Simon ! What is the scale ?
I like the spider's web detail and how the light catches it. However, you might want to keep them out of focus so we can't spot the trick.
wow great stuff Simon, it's really coming along brilliantly!
@Hugo. It's about 1/6th scale. Grave slab is 300mm long. Too late to blur the webs - but then they wouldn't be visible at all. The shot needs to convey that this grave has been neglected, and I rather liked adding them. A bit tricky reaching past them without disturbing them....
Thanks for all the comments.
Love it! The spider'swebs are great and it all feels quite natural.
Just to make it really cheesy, I might add a lightning flash when the camera has pulled out, and a thunderclap as it comes back in....!
Yes, the moco move disguises the fact that nothing is really happening in the shot until the hand appears. Version 2 of rig is in use, and I have a mind to make a third.
