The making of 'City in a Suitcase', a stop motion advert created for travel management company Key Travel. The film uses paper engineering craft techniques as well as the 'pixilation' technique of animating real people.

This is the making of of a short commercial I worked on during my internship at animation studio A+C in Kent, UK. The advert itself can be found here: http://aplusc.tv/portfolio/city-suitcase/

The cars coming out of the edges of the suit case were made by replacement? By the way, well done!

Haha, yeah. The train was nicely made so that it could be taken apart as halves and sticked together again. The cars we just literally sliced in half and sticked together when we needed them again, or replaced with another one of the same colour if we had enough out of shot. We could have easily made more replacements, but it was a tight schedule and somehow the replacement cars were forgotten. They are small enough on screen to not notice the cutting edge... it seems :)

Wow, you guys did a great job, Roos! Hope your arms didn't get too tired during the pixelation!
