A little stopmotion clip for Halloween. A shot for my project 'The Legend of Jan Tregeagle'.
This was great! and very creepy, the hounds have character, those eyes and skin!! :)
Thanks. The puppets are in latex over ball and socket armatures. I tried to make some creepy eyes, but in the end gave up and just painted the sockets black! Tongues are silicone.
For the lightning, I exposed each frame twice. once with the light on and once without. By fiddling with the opacity of the dark layer once it was laid over the lit one in After Effects I could get a flash and anything in between as well.
Love it, Simon. Hope the rest of the film is coming on? Can't wait to see more.
Thanks. I needed to crack the look of the hounds first. Now making the puppy of Hell, having learnt silver soldering at last! Hope your is coming along too - let me know!
