Here are a couple of BTS pics from BONE DRY. This was the first shot I animated, the heart prop had a pulsing light inside it controlled by Dragonframe. The wire had to be hidden behind the puppet throughout the shot to reduce post wire removal work.

BELOW: Checking frames for the silhouette shots with the E and SHE puppets. Black foil covered the puppets which were basically jointed cutouts with glowing eyes controlled by Dragonframe. I mounted the SHE puppet on a Berkey rigged track hidden behind the set.

BELOW: Tony Candelaria touches up the breakaway Angel Sculpture.

All wire armatures?

Comment by Anthony Scott on April 7, 2018 at 8:15am

Yes, short wire between the hard bone parts. They were held in place with square tubing which made it relatively easy to replace if the wire broke.

That was really cool, reminds me of old school 80's music videos (before the fisheye lens/slow-mo twerking fad took over) when the videos actually told an interesting story along with the lyrics. Bravo! :)

I agree with the 80's video comment! Very nice mixture of techniques, one of the more entertaining videos posted here. And thank you for the behind-the-scenes pics and info. Well done!
