Hello everyone, my local box store has the D3200 on clearance. What I'm wondering is, is it adequate for stop mo filming with Dragonframe? Here is the DF page on the D3200:…Continue

Dennis Heinzeroth replied to tam hinton's discussion FOAM MOULDS, RELEASE AGENTS, SEALING...
"As I understand it, the porosity of the stone mould helps to bake off the excess moisture in the foam latex as it sets up into a "solid" piece. Sealing it would make that task more difficult and less effective."

"What scale, style and action? Is it miles of open, cartoony water that's nice and calm or is it a close-up section of water around a realistic 1:7 scale life boat and puppet with a slight chop in the waves? Or a scene like a Jason Bourne…"

"Awesome, I'm glad it worked! Love the design, very industrial and the corkscrew/wormgear looks like it would come in......."handy"??? (me, trying to sound like Dr. Evil making a pun, lol)"

Dennis Heinzeroth replied to DuanesWorld's discussion 360 degree rotating droid head solution
"How big (or small) is the droid? You might be able to get away with something as simple as a set of magnets to hold the head to the body and provide friction for holding positions."

Dennis Heinzeroth replied to David's discussion How to determine how big to make your stage for a project?
"Depending on how involved you want to get, you could *possibly* make a forced perspective set. That pretty much locks you into one plane of motion and one camera position."

"That was really cool, reminds me of old school 80's music videos (before the fisheye lens/slow-mo twerking fad took over) when the videos actually told an interesting story along with the lyrics. Bravo! :) "
