Howdy - I am following up on a very old thread regarding Tom Baker - the very skillful animation model maker that used to advertise his wares in the back of certain monster magazines. I wonder if anyone has found Tom - he dropped out of the scene rather abruptly. I knew him back in Charlotte when I produced a TV show called THOSE WERE THE YEARS on Channel 3 WBTV. We ran a film contest and Tom won with some unusual animated shorts. He also created a 30 second TV spot in black and white where Kong comes through the trees, but instead of picking up Fay Wray, he picks up a sign for my show. It was very effective and got an amazing response from folks who thought they were watching a clip from Kong and then BAM, they were it with an ad for the show. Tom was great. Just wondered were he was out there.
Plus I want to sell my Cyclops model that I got from him back in the late 1970's. It may have been one of his first.
