This has come up before, but maybe now is the time to send those suggestions in to Google. It would be a nice tribute if the Google logo were to be themed as an homage to Ray and his work. Here's the…Continue

So I'm getting ready to start my first project with actual dialog, so I've been doing a bunch of exercises to work on synching a puppet's movements to an audio track. No mouths or worries about lip-synching right now. I'm just focused on the movements.I'd really appreciate any feedback.Thanks.See More

"I dunno about this one. The story seems like fun, but it sure is CGI-looking...and not in an especially good way. I hope Laika doesn't stray too far from their roots."

"Heh heh. A "slightly" more sophisticated of the same beast I've been filming for 40 years. Think of a reptilian version of the ID monster from Forbidden Planet, but with buggy eye stalks. That's the theory, anyway."

"So here's an update. The claws and upper lip have been added. Just a little more tweaking, then the final screwing down and securing all the pieces. Then the fun part, the build-up."

Hello all. Been awhile since I've been here. Glad to see everyone is still active and posting great stuff.Though I'd return with a preliminary look at an armature in progress for a two-legged alien lizard creature I'm working on. It's still pretty rough, but I'm happy with it so far. I especially like the two googly eye stalks.Anyhoo, good to be back.See More

Aging Harryhausen Fanboy

I've been a stop motion fan since 1975, when the reissue of Ray Harryhausen's 7th Voyage of Sinbad made it to the Capitol Theater in Yakima, Washington. I had to sit through a boring John Wayne movie to see it, but it was worth the wait. I've been walking on my toes with my arms pitched back ever since.

After 30 years, I finally got back to actually producing my own humble stopmo films. The first is called Eye of God, and is currently trying to weedle its way into film festivals. You can see it here:
