"HI, Stick to the 30 FPS. Converting to PAL is a nightmare and does not work without loosing or making all go south. The professional converters have trouble doing it even now. If you can reshot the scenes the do them in PAL directly and then you can…"

Iulian Demetrescu replied to Gavin A's discussion Best Editing Software
"HI, I would recommend the following workflow: 1.Capture in any SW you like but DF seems to be the choice of many animators here. 2. Scale your SW in Blender or Fusion 8. Blender is entirely Open Source while Fusion is Closed Source but free( as long…"

Iulian Demetrescu replied to Eric Scott's discussion Airbrush Compressor Recommendation

Iulian Demetrescu replied to HanaChoi's discussion What kind of clay would you recommend for making clay anime?
"Hi, I would advise to start playing with whatever clay you get your hands on. Start with something like plasticine which is to be found in almost any art shop around the world. It is easy to model, soft and you can start from there. There are…"

"Thank you Simon, i am still playing with set scale and virtual set scale. The lights on the real set were placed at approx 1 meter on each side of the puppet and a little from behind according to the puppet position. In virtual set size, the street…"

Compositing and CGI progress

HI,i managed to almost finish the first building for the short i am working on. There are still a lot fo things to do like completing the missing windows, adding all the lights and props in the bottom shops and stuff but i could not resist to do a small render and show it off for some feedback. I also started working on the first set and laid the first cobblestones for the footpath. One image has the comp with the already known test puppet(with a sculpted head this time), the rest are shots…See More

Iulian Demetrescu replied to Iulian Demetrescu's discussion Dollie and crane rig with 5 degrees of freedom
