"That's a great looking concept!  You can have a supposedly rigid statue, like Ray's Talos, Kali, or ship's figurehead, that actually does bend - those were foam latex.  I guess the fact that it flexed was part of the magic.…"

"Our own hands have a support rig - us! But if you want it to scuttle about like a spider, with no arm attached, I guess you have three choices. Use the fact that there are 5 fingers to always keep 3 of them on the ground, add a rig and erase it, or…"
