The old carousel sits quiet now, in darkness, the shining coats  

of the wooden horses seem to breathe as wood creaks and the wind screams  

through broken seams around the doors 

and floor boards move beneath the weight of a carved and cantering ghostly herd,

a clock tower strikes the midnight hour, 

suddenly the old carousel begins to move spinning…
