Just for fun, doing this Triclops for a monster film festival trailer. 3 eyes, 3 horns. Also had to make a few basic buildup 1:24 puppets for him to chomp on. A couple will be modified to match live people who have also been shot greenscreen, yelling and waving arms about a lot.

This is the puppet I made Nick that looks like yours he is holding a T shaped tie down like you use also but he is showing his thirty years!

Nice work Greyguy - I can still see that, despite the aging latex.  I like his dragon face and powerful haunches.

Actually for 30 years that isn't too bad, my foam latex puppets get to that state by 10 to 20 years.  I don't think I made a stopmotion puppet as long ago as 30 years, couldn't get the foam latex here and didn't think of using buildup methods then.

Same number of fingers and toes as mine, different in other ways.

Wow Greyguy, what's the story behind your puppet?

Those are incredible. When do we get to see them in action?

Thanks Lenny.  End of October at the latest, that's when the festival is, but I'm hoping they will put the trailer up at their website early to mid October.  Once it's online I can also do my own edit and put it on Youtube, just need to find or shoot some background plates.

Yes, what was that puppet for Greyguy?  Do you have any animated footage?

I am interested.

What is the movie about? What is the title?

Lenny,

No, never did tutorial on sculpting a creature like this.  But I think the sculpt was there on the bench when I did a video interview last year or the year before.

The only foam latex puppet I ever did a tutorial for was a fat rat, done with a few crappy still photos at my Picturetrail site a very long time ago.  There was a still photo of Thulgor, and this one is kind of a Thulgor 2, a bit similar in the way that Greyguy's puppet and my goatlegged version are similar.  This one originally had human-ish legs and was a heavyset troll, but I decided to convert to goat legs and give him extra height.  Then he looked too heavy and I shaved a bit off, but probably should have slimmed him down more.  I was undecided which way to go, tall and light with goat legs, or short and squat with human legs.  Then this Monsterfest thing came up, and it was a quick way to get a classic Harryhausenish monster made within the time frame so I rushed into making the mould.

How the sculpt looked without goat legs, or 3rd eye:

I actually think this would have been better than what I ended up doing.

There is a tutorial on a foam latex horse in the works, once I finish the mane and tail and edit all the timelapse footage together.
