For a new project I'm using Lyra Modello Schoolplast.
I don't know if anybody has used this before? My problem with it is that it stains very easily on my underground. You can see it in the shot, small oily stains where a puppet or something has touched the underground.
Am I doing something wrong? Do I use the wrong kind of plastinella / plasticine? Any advice?
Did you mean to include a shot of the problem ?
Assuming by ' underground' you mean the floor or base of the set, I would think the answer is to seal the base with something like a Matt varnish.
I use Puppet Putty, the clay developed by Don Carlson, animator member of this web.
It is harder than normal clay and don't leaves pigment in your hands nor oil waste.
