Does anyone know of a way to capture images at the same time from two different computers using Dragonframe. I could obviously just use two Dragonframe Controllers and press enter at the same time. But thought I would see if there was a clever device that could work for both
I've had a PC running StopMotion Pro and a Mac running Dragonframe, each attached to a camera, in order to get two camera angles to capture the same animation. I move the puppet, click SMP, click DF. Yes, I have to click twice. Since the PC died, I take my other Mac (usually used for post production and internet stuff) into the studio and connect one camera to that. Dragonframe allows me to install it on two machines, so I have two Macs running DF, and two cameras, a Canon 40d and a Canon 7d. I can't open two DF windows, each connected to a different camera, on one computer. As far as I know it won't let me click once, on one controller, and also take a shot with the other computer.
It may be possible to run two different capture programs - like both Dragonframe and StopMotion Pro on one PC, each connected to a camera. Or the two cameras may interfere with each other, with both frmegrabbers trying to connect to one camera, I'm not sure. The closest I've come is running SMP for video capture and previewing, with an analog video camera, and a Nikon DSLR connected to Nikon Capture for grabbing the final image, and taking each shot twice - but that was two different sorts of camera, once connected by a video lead, one by USB.
