Hi everyone,

I recently returned from Los Angeles after creating a few animation tests for my stop-motion film, THE LABYRINTH, at Tom Smith's studio.  I created a "Portfolio" page at my website, http://www.knossosfilmsinc.com, in case anyone would like to see some production art and behind-the-scenes stills.

I will also be launching a Kickstarter campaign shortly to complete it as a 30-minute short.

Best,

Tom

That's great news, Tom.  I checked out your Portfolio page and love the updated images.  I think you'll be very successful with a Kickstarter campaign -- this project is too awesome for it not to be.  :)

Some great stuff on the website Tom!!! Puppets look like they'll be beautiful to animate, really looking forward to seeing more of the progress :-)

Currently reading your book Tom, awesome info and The Labyrinth is coming out awesome! I cant wait to see the finished movie.

Beautiful shot of the minotaur in blueish light, and the armature looks great as we'd all expect.  The whole production is looking like it will be mighty fine!

I used a 3d program to rough out the shape of sets for someone's film lately - an easy way to visualise it in 3d space, and make adjustments before building the actual sets.   So I'm seeing the cgi set images as preliminary designs, not anything like how it will actually look when built and lit.

But that matte painting with ocean and sky elements - jaw-droppingly FABULOUS!!!   That's from a film I want to see!

Thanks for the update; it looks great. I've been following this for some time and can't wait to see the completed film.
