What's up animators!

I am making a short film for my senior thesis and would love a hand on set building and even animating if you are interested. Set building would include helping me make trees, natural environment, and a small house.

Animating would include helping me with the tough scenes and just some moral support lol. Anyone interested???

Natalie,

This is awesome you are making a stopmo film for your senior thesis! Best wishes!!! I live out in Houston, TX so I am not sure if I could be much help, but this seems like a great place to bounce ideas if you get stuck. . . Would love to see your work in progress and when the film is finished! Cheers.

I totally think that's possible. I animate at 24FPS and make a weekly web series for children's toy company. Each episode ranges from 2 to 3 minutes. I work about 6 hours each night and I can usually finish the filming in 4 days and use the remaining days to edit and make any revisions or changes requested by my employers.

So 12fps for 15 seconds of footage a day totally sounds doable.

ugh thank you! that was really reassuring to hear! I thought it sounded possible but I wanted to make sure. That sounds like an interesting job! Thank you again

I think the animator of Sanpomichi is based in Seattle. You can probably try contacting her on Twitter or elsewhere and see if she can connect you with people. G'luck on your short film.

I'm in Portland and depending on my schedule might be able to come up to Seattle.
