Hey all,
Does anyone have any tips or methods on how to best clean the lint and dust off a silicone puppet to prepare it for painting? Silicone seems to absorb any hair or lint in the vicinity. Paper towels and 99% alcohol/naphtha leave lint all over thr puppet. Do people typically scrub their puppets with soapy water and a toothbrush? Im considering wiping or brushing it down with solvent, then running distilled water over it and letting it air dry in a dust free location to remove the lint. Any tips are appreciated! Thanks

I wash with warm soapy water and a brush to remove any trace of release agent, then rinse.  Yes, I've noticed how much the silicone picks up lint! I haven't really worked out a way of drying it without leaving some lint from the towel or paper towel on it.  Maybe a sponge to get most of the water off?  Then let it air dry.  As for a dust free location... I can only dream of that!

Thanks Nick! You are very helpful and always quick to provide an answer

I just saw something on FB with a list of cleaning tips, it said use a coffee filter for cleaning because it is lint-free.   But there must be other lint-free cleaning cloths, surely?
