Hey all, another model kit I'm selling. This time around it's from One Million Years BC, the famed faceoff between triceratops and ceratosaur. Sculpted by legendary Joe Laudati, who has done many Harryhausen and similar kits. He loves the genre and it really shows in his very detailed work.
Here's the scene from the movie for reference (note this is NOT a picture of the model kit - it does not include a massive background like that, but rather a small base under each dinosaur):
If you click the pic above it's a link directly to the eBay page, or click HERE instead if you prefer a text link.
Not directly Harryhausen or stopmo related, but I also have an Asian Frankenstein kit up HERE if anyone's interested. Here's a couple of pics of a finished kit- the one I'm selling is unbuilt and unpainted, these are just for reference and inspiration:
Oops! Well, turns out I don't know my Harryhausen nearly as well as a lot of people do (especially people in this forum!) I've been informed it's actually Gwangi and the Styracosaurus, not from 10 Million Years at all - and as soon as I compared the heads from the model kit to the screengrab that was very apparent. Embarrassing! But the guy who informed me of that knew what it was and bought it with full knowledge, so I suppose all is well in the end. Lesson - check these things more closely, especially when selling to people who know this stuff inside-out and backwards.
