I'm 29, graduated in 2011 with a degree in Film Studies. In college, I took some electives in animation, but never really committed until about four years ago when I started 2D animation (see website/blog above). 2D digital hand-drawn animation was a great way for me to learn the principles fast on my own terms, but as of the past two years I've been wanting to get into stop motion for a more tactile practice.
With my 2D portfolio, I applied for grant-funding to pursue knowledge in building ball-and-socket armatures. My proposal was approved so I will be spending a good portion of 2018 both in hardware stores and on this website trying to figure stuff out.
I'll soon be posting my projects, experiments, questions and more. Hoping to speak with as many of you as I can.
Welcome and congrats on the funding
ill be watching your research with interest!
The animation of the hairy guy on your website is great! Good luck learning armatures.
Hi, Have you seen these on Ebay? I recently bought some to work on my armature.
