Haven't posted in quite a while. Some of my work was under wraps until the films were released, and while some might be interested in the local theater work I've done (like the Shrek growing Pinocchio nose or Little Shop stage #4 Audrey that went from 7' to 10' high), none of that was stopmo related.
Here's an armature I just finished. 6" tall, 5/32" and 1/8" ball joints.
I like, it looks solid, I want to know what sort of problems you get though when you start to animate these armartures...or start to clothe them or cover them in different materials, how does it affect how they move, and the pressure on the joints etc.. I still haven't bought one yet, so I don't know.. but I tried the epoxy putty and aluminium wire now so many times and it always breaks on me, admitedly I'm only using one strange of wire, but still they want last long, and I hate that, so I think ball and socket is best..
