Excellent!! I love those huge projects that take many years and see you through a huge learning curve. They become defining points in your life and make you better for having struggled through them. That mecha design is looking really good!! Hmmm - need to teach my computer that mecha is actually a word..

Are you planning to 3D print this for a stop-motion film?

I tend to really enjoy the aesthetics of multimedia projects. This could be particularly interesting to see considering the polarization between those two mediums.

What was the motivation for placing a single stop-motion character in a 3D (CGI) world with every other character being 3D (CGI) as well? You say the story's plot is paper thin, so is this more of a technical project? (Can X,Y,Z be done? / Can I X,Y,Z? ~ That sort of thing?)

*mixed-media / woops

wow... well, good luck to ya! This sounds like one of those milestone projects. Something that can allow you to utilize and challenge the inspirations of your past, and let you know where you stand to continue to improve and develop your own "style" in the future. Very cool.

Best of luck to you! I'm excited to see this develop further.
