The Montreal Stop Motion Film Festival is proud to announce that this year's call for entries is officially open! As always, the festival is free to enter, and there are categories for academic films, independent films and professional films alike, so be sure to submit an entry form online and get those films, commercial spots and music videos in!

The 2013 Montreal Stop Motion Film Festival starts tonight!

Henry Selick and Anthony Scott will open the festival by presenting "The Nightmare before Christmas," as this year is it's 20th Anniversary! Henry Selick and Anthony Scott will talk about the production and present new, never been seen behind-the-scenes footage. This presentation is SOLD OUT, but we'll be posting pictures and live tweeting tonight's event.

If you were't able to get tickets to the NBC screening, there's still plenty more great stop motion action happening this weekend. FREE family-friendly screenings! Stop motion stations where you can learn how to animate! Over 70 short films by the greatest stop motion artists and animators the world has to offer!
