I made this little baby about a year ago for the London International Animation Festival. It's made of flat cut-out puppets made of fabrics, shot on multiplane. I already put it up earlier but I thought it might be nice to have a thread for it.

Shortly after publishing it became Kino London's Short of the Week, and got a feature on Dragonframe's website. http://www.dragonframe.com/blog/2011/09/bianca-ansems-animates-lond...

Here are a few pics of the models and setup:

It was my second time doing cutout after trying it for the first time at Barry Purves' workshop:

Then I'd thought I'd also show my overall showreel. My gradfilm Playing Ghost was my first puppets stopmo, and the LIAF kinda my second one, hence I do a lot of 2D too, as you can see in the reel:

Thanks for looking :]

Anybody know how to embed vimeo videos? It doesn't seem to work for me :[

On the right of the video, there are 3 options - Like, Later and Share. If you click on share it will take you to a page with the embed code, which you can copy and paste. I'll just test it...

Now I'll go watch your videos

Thanks! When I pasted them in it didn't work and when I did it with the video linking in the post it didn't neither :[ I'll make the amends!

Some really nice work, Bianca. I like the look of the bus-stop film. Is that an ongoing project, or have you finished it? I've been checking out your blog, too. Great work

Edit - Ah, I found the bus-stop film on your vimeo channel. Again, more nice work. I love it in colour.

Beautiful work.

Love this! Reminds me of Anthony Lucas' stuff...

Thanks, David and Fi! I don't know any of Anthony Lucas' work, I'll have a dig and see what he does.

Thanks, BC! Yes, the busstop one is sorta finished but never got finished in colour, so I have been doing that bit by bit. First all the shots in the showreel and hopefully eventually the whole thing. :]
