I'm new to stop motion animation and photography. I plan on animating a 1/6 scale set and a 1/12 scale set, but don't know what's required to light it. (The 1/6 scale set will have an outdoor and indoor scene).
I'll be shooting with a recently acquired Canon T6i and some used manual Nikkor lenses (24, 35, and 50mm).
What type of lighting will I need? I found some older threads, but LED lighting has gotten a lot better and cheaper since then.
Also, I'm in the Tampa Bay area and would love to connect with anyone experienced in stop motion animation.
Here's a video on lighting for stopmotion. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=fmFdb5_tatI&t=328s
You can see that all sorts of lights can be used, not just the professional film lights. And if you use long exposures, you don't need very powerful lights.
