So I'm working on a film about an expedition in Chernobyl and all the mutated monsters that live within. How do you think I could make realistic looking hazard suits?

Any pics of what you want it to look like?

I don't see why not.  I imagine it would be a sort of fabric cover-all?  There would be patterns for full size onesies that could give you a guide to the shape.

I needed something like that once, and instead of sewing, I adapted some space suits I had already made for another film.  They were actually sculpted  from plasticine and plaster moulded, then slush cast in liquid latex, to give a hollow skin I could put over the puppet.  So that is another approach if it's a more high-tech look.  Mine had hoses attached and corrugations at the joints.  I did new helmets that better suited the has-chem suit look than my original space helmet, but the overall effect is still pretty space-suity.  You can see them at about 00:40 in this clip:   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gCkVl65ksmI

It was just like sculpting a puppet body, then making a 2 piece plaster mould, front and back.

Love the idea, by the way!

Man I love good riddance! I remember when I found it a few years ago. Great stuff. I probably will sculpt them. As for the idea, thanks! Hopefully will post whatever I make of it here soon.
