Drat! I can't see it tomorrow, I think I'll need to wait till Monday because my wife is dragging me to a stupid wedding and we need to be a part of it for TWO WHOLE DAYS!
Ha! Yeah but, I spoke to my wife tonight (she's doing the hair and make-up for the wedding) and we'll probably see Paranorman on Sunday. The last film we went to the movies to see was Fantastic Mr Fox so, obviously we don't get out to see movies very often, (can't afford it) so I'm really looking forward to this!
Yeah I had to clear the logistics of seeing the movie too. So I guess I am seeing it twice this weekend.
I can remember when I fell in love with the movies and I could go see a film early in the day on a weekend for a whopping $1.50. Now when my wife and son and I go out to see a film, we're looking at spending $100.00+ between tickets, gas, popcorn, soda and a box of Rasinets.
Going to the movies has become a 'financial decision' here in New York. :(
That does indeed all add up. Any time I would want to take my niece and nephew out it would add up to the same thing. Driving in New York got nuts for me so I learned quickly to rely on my own two feet and MTA out there.
What a terrific film! Watch it in 3D. Great use of 3D, things popping out of the screen, great depth, about the best I've seen in a long time. I just loved the design with uneven doors, such as the lockers, etc. And whatever you, don't leave when the credits start you will miss something really, really special. I won't spoil the surprise.
OK now I'm jazzed! If I don't get to see it on Sunday at the latest - I'll go mad!
Oh no worries... I am sure someone is going to blab all about it before then.
Nick, Its on in melbourne TODAY as part of the film festival (1:30pm)
Hey, count yourselves lucky - release date in Australia isn't until 20 September!
