Not so sure about that tagline though - "Victor and Sparky do it Frankenstyle"...

Sounds like a whle different movie.

Too soon!

I'm not sure I'm ready to see Victor and Sparky whoring for completely unrelated products, quite so soon.

And.. pistachios?   An electricity company maybe, or doggie treats, or a pet cemetery (ok that one could be tasteless, even if apt) ... something that at least makes some use of who they are.

Great animation though, have to admit.

There's a big push to sell Pistachios in the US - everybody and their brother and their uncle does these Pistachio commercials. And their reanimated dog too apparently. I was suprized when I ran across this (just saw it on TV about 10 minutes before I posted it here) to find it's been on YouTube for 4 months!! Geeze - it seems like the movie barely had come out 4 months ago!! But I imagine the commercial was made during production or immediately after - such is the nature of the commercial machine that controls the US. Or wait - maybe the commercial aired before the movie was released? Sort of a combination teaser/tie-in (how deliciously... Frankenstinian!! )

I had not seen that yet. Thanks for posting.

I'm cool with it and would much rather see Victor and Sparky then some of the other celebs they have for these commercials. Also Frankenstyle works much better than Weenie style.

Cute! but I'm also like.... "pistachios?" :/

Actually, on reflection, there seems to be an odd association between stop motion and nuts. I mean in the edible seed sense of course! Following the famous California Raisins, a friend of mine did several California Walnut ads with a stopmo walnut puppet, airing in several countries ( but maybe not the US) back in the late eighties. And there were those Planters Peanut ads a while back, and now pistachios. What's next, brazil nuts?

^ lol, we should ask Martin about that!
