Impressed with that Vincent Price puppet!

Aww, no stop in New York.

Yes...well...Australia wasn't even on the world map!

Just saw 'the art of Tim Burton' exhibition in Paris... was well worth the trip. Was amazing to see the corpse bride puppets close up. I even smacked my face into the glass by accident trying to check out the armature joints, at least some people got a laugh out of it lol!

Can't wait to see the sets in this exhibition!

I went to visit the sets during shoot last year and they are absolutely amazing (the cinematographer of Playing Ghost worked on it). I can't give away too much, but there is a character in there that I just instantly wanted to bring home with me.

I was also lucky enough to visit McKinnon&Saunders while they were working on the puppets, and at some point was left waiting in one of their offices while one of their producers got me tea. The room was full with their puppets, including Corpse Bride, and of course I was instantly drawn to it. As if the producer knew this would happen, she shouted from the other room: "It's ok to touch them, they should be able to handle it!" I nearly cried as I slowly moved their fingers. It's unbelievable how smooth and easy they moved, like a hot knife through butter! No wonder they can get such good articulation out of the puppets.

I also saw some snippets on my visit and I look so much forward to the full film. It's amazing and so well done! I look forward to this exhibition too.

Was photography allowed when you saw the exhibition? :)

Unfortunately not :( To be fair though, I did see a couple of photos taking cheeky shots with their phones! I guess Burton wants everyone to pay for the privilege of seeing his work.
