Dragonframe capture black-out on a single monitor in dual setup?

Hi everyone!
Is there by any chance some dragonframe experts here that can help me with this question?

I have a setup with dual monitors in the studio.
One monitor for displaying dragonframe and the other functioning basically as a lighttable. I have the camera shooting down that second monitor laying flat on the table.

I'm doing oilpaint on glass and want only the backlight of the monitor. So I need the primary monitor to have a capture blackout during shooting. I can't seem to find a way to set only 1 of the 2 on blackout... It does both or nothing.

Anyone here a wizz with dragonframe that can help me out with the answer??
Much appreciated!

Don't know but you can always cover your Monitor with black duvatine cloth while shooting the frame, that's the way we did it back in the day before DF.

Just got a reply from dragon that it is not possible. So it's gonna be an analog solution just like you say Anthony! That was allways an option, but I was hoping for the more efficient one, but no such luck... :)

The only time I ever tried shooting a monitor, using it as a background screen to show live video frame-by-frame behind a puppet, it was attached to a different computer than the one running Dragonframe, so it wasn't an issue.

The Kaliri Bros  (DF developers) do sometimes pick up on questions about DF here, but if you don't get a reply from them or other DF expert, try DF support on their site:   https://www.dragonframe.com/support/

Oh, Antony's reply wasn't showing when I typed this, but I see it now.

I asked the DF people if they would feel like implementing it. We'll see. I guess it is quite specific, but I can allso see other uses for it, like animated elements on a second screen that are part an actual set for example.

I've been dual screening with Dragonframe 4 and the capture blackout works on both my monitors. This is with the auxiliary monitor feature in the view tab of the animation workspace.

Yeah having both black out is not the issue. It is when you want only one of the two monitors to blackout that it becomes tricky :)

I am one of the developers for OpenToonz and we recently added DSLR support to the program.  It would not be hard for me to make that option.  We already black out up to 3 monitors.  But it's a pretty easy thing to make it only black out specific monitors.
