Why aren't there any responses?

Probably because most people aren't interested. To me the film looks like it won't be to big of a thing.

Sorry to say.

That's the feeling I got right off the bat, but I think it was mostly due to the voice over, which actually started with the words "In a time... "

Big facepalm right there - you just can't do that (though it's slightly better than "In a world"). It's become such a ridiculous cliche - isn't there even a comedy called In a World, that's about voice acting or something?

But suddenly I noticed a couple of familiar names in the credits. And then there was Ron Cole, talking right to me about the kind of movies I still love that nobody makes anymore. And shots of Nick Hilligoss, and then I saw names listed like Jim Aupperle, and even Lionel Ivan Orozco!

I must admit I got a bit of a Sci-Fi Channel vibe from a couple of the effects shots in the trailer, but then it is low budget, and ya gotta admit - a lot of our favorite movies from days gone by have some stuff in them with a high cheese factor. On the other hand, there were a few shots that just blew me away - actual creature animation like I haven't seen for decades - since Jurassic Park pushed stopmotion into the realm of cartoonish family entertainment puppetfilm fare (with people rather than creatures).

I guess we haven't heard about this yet because of a lot of NDA's - but it's good to finally discover what all these people are working on!!

Oh, and to answer your question Matt, I'll bet a lot of people are like me and think of these crowdfunding posts as spam and wait to see if there are any positive posts before looking in. There were none until tonight, so I didn't feel compelled to check it out - then  I guess I was just bored enough tonight to click through, and wow am I glad I did!!! This is like an SMA board superband, featuring many of our own stalwart members all in one mighty project!!

It looks like this film would be incredible! Unfortunately I'm not exactly flush with cash to contribute at the moment.

It seems like this is going to need a much more concerted social media push to achieve the campaign goal.

WOW!!!

Well that should help!!! Thanks Phil!!

I've been following Peter's progress on this project on Facebook, and ever since I first found out about his work (The BLI films and Carters Nightmare), I have been hooked. This is the type of film I've been wanting to see being made for a long time and I'm going to support it all the way! I have a good feeling about it!
