online resources for the stop motion animation community since 1999
Since yesterday, the whole look of the site has changed... or is it just me? It is now a wide blinding landscape of pure white, such as Scott of the Antarctic would have faced! Text is in black.
Windows like the one to add an image have a clear background, so all the text of my post shows through and it's really hard to see.
I checked it in Safari and Chrome, it is the same in both. I re-set my settings for the Appearance back to the default, no change. Didn't see anywhere to set preferences for text or background colour, anyway.
I'm off to order some snow goggles:
I was just refreshing the page a million times thinking my computer had messed something up, but looks like it is not just me. Help! Too much light for an animator! :P
Saw this too. Thought I was going crazy. Glad I'm not going crazy. Glad you're both going crazy with me. :P
It looks like it's dropped the CSS and degraded 1990s style HTML. Needs one of those icons that shows a person digging with a shovel.
On the plus side, FireFox no longer complains about a script taking too long.
Lol the site is simply just broken!
I the WHOLE site would get a totally new design.
Maybe this change could be a blessing in disguise. It might be able to teach us not to live in so much darkness. Go out into the light, my friends! No, not the shop light. NO, STOP PEERING INTO THE LED's. Oh, this is hopeless.
If anyone wants me, I'll be getting a sunburn.
WOW. Well I just got back from a camping trip and found out about THIS. Crazy. Not sure what happened but I'll investigate….
I've noticed that the site looks normal once I log in. Not 100% but most of the time. Is it just me experiencing this? Please add your experiences here. I will copy this thread's address and pass it onto the site's support team. Thanks.
Hi Anthony, I was logged in when I first saw the change. I just tried logging out and logging in again, but it still looks the same. Hope you had a good camping trip. :)
Thank you for investigating it, and passing it on to the site's support team. At least everything is working fine still. It seems to be just a design issue. As if some codes that were determining the place and colour of things have dissapeared.
Anthony, it seems to be working fine now!
