It looks pretty good. I will make foam latex puppet with silicone hands.

I used to have some thought to make my own, but after reading the machinery guide in the forum and measuring my basement, I think it is better to buy some armatures:)

Thanks!

I saw one of these a few months ago. They are certainly very good value.

The joints felt a bit rough and would need some serious attention to get them working smoothly. The plates are made from mild steel. Having said that, the puppets made on the website look very good, and there seem to be some satisfied purchasers.

I am a fan of Animation Toolkit's joints, which are cast stainless steel, take lots of tension without bending, and come with part-drilled stainless balls. But their kits are more than double the price.

Thank you Simon!

Yes I saw some old topic about their products may have some issue of the ball. I may switch to some Chinese sellers on eBay.

I think you get what you pay for. If you are going to do some serious animating, save up and buy a decent kit that won't let you down in the middle of a shot. Or use wire...

I bought an armature from the knockoff Chinese Amazon. It's called the Cinespark armature. I typically just use it for practice, and I have had no issues. The worst parts are that it took a month to ship and the balls and rods are two different pieces so you're gonna need some thread lock

Than you Count! Nice to get some first-handed info about this Chinese seller's product. Yes I want to try their armature, and if you buy from taobao.com(which is another online store in China) you could get almost half price. I will have a vacation this summer in China, so I will buy some from them. Now I can use wire armature. I made many wire armature before for my foam latex puppets. The only concern about it is the connection to hands. This time I will make separate hands with arms, so just K & S tube should be fine.

How do you make your wire armatures? I have a bad habit of mine breaking in the middle of animating

I use the way Anthony wrote in the tutorial:

http://www.stopmotionanimation.com/page/building-a-wire-armature-wi...

You are right. It is easy to break. I think it is better to go with B & S one as the process to make a foam latex puppet will take a lot of work. I will buy one of the Morezmore armatures first. I think it is better than wire anyway.
