I made this armature for my film project. It's very cheap, strong, flexible and easy to make with the right tools.

I was wondering if making a tutorial video will be a good idea.

waiting for your opinions.

It sounds a good idea to me.

I'm sure anyone wanting to make an armature for the first time would appreciate it.

Dennis

This is exactly what I am looking for! May I ask you what you used to make it?

I'd love to see a tutorial on how to craft one of these!

A tutorial would be a great idea.

I offered help in your earlier post "Ball and socket joints" but it seems you didn't notice

I made the armature using 8mm plastic balls and 3mm plastic plates with 4mm steel rod

it's very cheap and easy to make. you can wait for the tutorial or I can send you images of the ongoing work

Yes, I noticed that after I posted here, sorry silly me

Did you get the parts at a hardware store? I know I can get the steel rods and possibly the plastic balls, but the plastic plates, I am not sure..

Any photos or videos are very welcome on my part

Thank you very much!

Cleo

for the plastic balls I used the necklace pearl balls you well be amazed how strong they are, they are already drilled 3mm. but when using 4mm threaded steel rod I had to thread the hole, for the plastic plate I used a router plastic cover and you can use any plastic found with the right thickness and then drill and cut. It's reall easier than it seems, anyway I sent some photos

This is awesome, thank you.

I forgot to mention epoxy paste when putting rod in the hole , it's essential to do that in order to have a very strong connection under any pressure.

The video tutorial is coming soon. It well be more detailed.
